This week flew by and I can’t believe it’s already Friday. I only managed to put out one post this week (A Day in the Life post), but had a couple more I had planned, just couldn’t find the time. I was busy completing 25 orders and creating more mugs and continuing to learn some new designing concepts in Photoshop.
Before I dive into a few favorites from this week, don’t forget to enter my giveaway from last Friday favorites. Tons of you have entered and I think the prize is quite fun! Check it out here. It closes tonight and I will announce the winner on Monday!
As always, I’m linking up today for Friday Favorites.
{ONE} POOL DAYS
We were at Walmart the other day and decided to pick up this 10 ft. pool for $10.00!!! What a deal! This thing is pretty big and I can toss it at the end of summer and not feel bad (I hate keeping these plastic pools). They have swam every day in it and I have a feeling we’ll be out in the back a lot swimming. It’s not a built in pool, but the boys have a blast. We’ve moved it all over the yard (once was under the swing set so they could swing over it and fall in).
And picnics are always their favorites!
{TWO} DATE NIGHT
It’s been quite a while since Ryan and I have had a date. My mother in law watched the boys on Tuesday and we went to dinner and a movie…our favorite dates. We saw The Zookeeper’s Wife (you probably can rent it soon) and it was SO good. It’s about a family in Poland and the lengths they go to help hide Jews in their house/zoo.
{THREE} Bacon-Jalapeno Grilled Cheese
I cannot wait to have deli turkey after this pregnancy, but in the mean time, this grilled cheese hits the spot. Cheese + jalepenos + cooked bacon. Not something I recommend on the daily, but you gotta give this a try soon. I lay a slice of cheese on the buttered bread, then some cooked bacon, then a few jalepenos (from the jar), then another slice of cheese and top it with the other buttered bread.
{FOUR} KIDS SUNSCREEN
I found this sunscreen at the store and picked it up based on the paraben free label. I normally don’t buy spray sunscreen after reading all the horrible articles, but I always make sure to have them look away as I’m spraying and not breathe it in. I use the spray bottle for their bodies and rub it in with my hands.
Then I use this sunscreen lotion for their faces so I’m not spraying on their face. I’ve been using these all week and they dry super fast, which is nice. They smell good. And the kids have not been burned at all (and they have very pale skin that burns easy). I love it best because it dries super fast so we’re not waiting around to get wet.
{FIVE} NOTHING TO PROVE
I saw this in a new book I’m reading, Nothing to Prove by Jennie Allen. I just love this and remember, it’s all about a relationship, not a religion.
{SIX} NEW MUGS
If you know me at all, you know this is the perfect mug for me. I so badly want to be a morning person, but I’m just not. Maybe one day that worm will entice me to get up, but for now, bring on the quiet nights.
Speaking of, I found this quote on Pinterest about night owls…
These aren’t in my shop yet but I’m adding daily. I LOVE the creative process, but not so much the listing them in Etsy part. And all the Etsy sellers said “Amen.”
Hopefully I can post more next week, but summer is hard with the kids home all day and up more at night. Today we have Maddox’s 3 year well visit and a birthday party so we’re excited. And then a fun 4th of July weekend.
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway before it ends tonight.

I love no ad sunscreen. I’ve been looking for it in stores and haven’t been able to find it. I can’t believe I didn’t even think to look on Amazon. Duh! 🙂
