Dear Maddox,
I have to say this has been my favorite month! I cannot believe the contrast you are from the previous 6 months. You are super chill, sleep like a champ, and are very easily entertained. You are squealing a lot in pure joy. You don’t really want anything to do with crawling, but roll like a professional roly poly.

Check out those thighs! And look at him from 6 to 7 months below.
Measurements: I’m not sure of your measurements, but you are big! You’re popping out of your 6-9 month onesies.
My favorite thing: Singing to you after your bath as you lay your head on my shoulder. It melts my heart. I also love rocking you to sleep but you don’t really wake anymore after I put you down so I only rock you every now and then. Your laugh! I love it. You laugh when I tickle you or look at you funny! You do this squeal thing whenever you’re really happy.
Daily Activities: You wake up around 8:00am, take a bottle, and are up for about an hour before you go back down for a long 2 hour nap. You take another bottle around 11:45-12 and then eat rice cereal (usually) about 30 minutes later (just sometime between your bottle and afternoon nap). About 1.5-2 hours later, you go back down for a 1-2 hour nap (usually 2 hours). After your nap you take your third bottle, play, eat dinner, and do bath around 7 or 7:30. We like to go on walks during this evening time if the weather is nice. After bath you have your last bottle around 8:00 and go to bed shortly after (sometimes right at 8:00 you’re in your bed). You rarely wake up anymore like you were last month. I’m shocked at how well you sleep!
Eating: You basically eat at 8, 12, 4, and 8, give or take a little. You eat 7-ish ounces per bottle. You’re holding your bottle now too. After your 2nd and 3rd bottle you have “solids.” You picked up quickly on eating from the spoon, but you like ONE thing…rice cereal! I mix it with breast milk and you inhale it. I started making your baby food and you act like I’m feeding you dirt if it’s not rice cereal. And if the consistency is any thicker than soup, you gag. You choke on Mum Mums. I’m not sure if it’s normal for you to be so sensitive at 7 months, but I won’t worry about it for now.
Sleeping: Like I mentioned above you sleep about 11-12 hours a night and two 2 hour naps during the day. I can usually lay you down with your paci, turn on your sleep sheep sound machine, and you’ll go to sleep on your own. For a while I was rocking you, but you stopped needing that. I really cannot believe the turn around from previous months.
Special Events:
-First tooth right after you turned 6 months (you have 2 on the bottom now).
-Started solids shortly after you turned 6 months.
I love these comparison pictures of you and your brother at 7 months. I think you two are looking more alike as you get older.
You can see your personality in this photo shoot. Here are some more pictures from this month…
Love you little guy!
Love, Mommy
