2 Words for this last week: Heartburn and Fatigue!
My heartburn/acid reflux is getting bad! Sometimes it will just burn for an hour or more at a time. I’ve only had the acid reflux actually come up a couple of times, but the heartburn is like “getting sick” but not throwing it up. In my 1st trimester I was fortunate to not get sick, but did get really tired. 1st trimester has nothing on my tiredness in the 3rd trimester. I cannot get enough sleep. By 7pm my eyes are “get in bed” heavy. I have sacrificed doing my hair several nights so I can just sleep. As far as other symptoms go, I’m of course needing to pee a lot and it’s getting harder and harder to move around. I feel him kick and move very far down and closer to my backside than before. His movements are still so exciting to watch and experience, but they are getting more uncomfortable. My ribs also started to hurt these last couple of days. He seems pretty low, so I’m not sure exactly why, but they’ve been sore. My weight gain has slowed down a lot. I didn’t really gain anything this last week, but I’m trying to eat at home more and I simply do not get as hungry. I’ve gained a total of 32 pounds so far. Yikes! I was hoping to total out at 35, but looks like I’ll hit at least 40. I’m in a wedding in 2 weeks, so I’m trying to watch my weight so I can fit in the dress. I’m upset with myself because I know 8 of those pounds were non-baby related. Oh well, not too worried now, but looking forward to a flat stomach again! Here is my growth at 33 weeks:
I was suppose to get a 3D sonogram today, but the technician that was scheduled to see me had a family emergency, so we will get our sonogram on Saturday instead. I was so disappointed, but now I get to have breakfast somewhere with Ryan before our appt, get my hair done, get a pedicure, and hopefully watch the Rangers win the ALCS championship (unless they do it before then)! Hopefully, we will see his cute little face!
I had my first big shower this past weekend! Oh my goodness I got so many great things. My mom and sisters threw me a shower and it was wonderful! I’m so blessed that ladies would support me and shower us with gifts. EVERYTHING I got was great. Baby Snydes can now leave the hospital because we have our car seat. Also got our stroller frame, boppy, cute clothes, a custom made pillow, custom made bear, a bath tub, and so much more. The pillow (which is his bedding fabric) was made by a friend of mine, Dedra Rainey. Her company is Sew Blessed – www.sewblessedembroidery.com. I was completely shocked because my mom and mother-in-law are the only ones who know my bedding. She ended up getting it from my mom and found it at Hobby Lobby. Here are some pictures of the things I got:
