What a week. First, I’ll start with my picture a day for 2014 Week 19:
Day 127: We had an afternoon snack of popcorn. B loves watching it pop!
*Sidenote – I stopped eating microwave popcorn about a year ago, when I read it contained chemicals lining the bag that can cause infertility. It was enough to make me switch. It’s more of a pain to clean up, but it really does taste fresh. Needs seasoning, but really good!
Day 128: It was a perfect morning “at the office.” My desk had been a mess and I finally cleaned it. It was extremely overcast outside, I had a warm cup of coffee, and B was at school so it was super quiet. I have the hardest time doing any work when B is home.
Day 129: Date night on Friday with a certain someone who can never take a picture with a flash!
Day 130: On Saturday, we had a super busy day and B did not nap. He fell asleep in the car and refused to wake up. So we snuggled!
Day 131: Mother’s Day – We went to Grimaldi’s Pizza in the cutest little area after church! One of my favorite things to do is grab lunch somewhere after church, so this was so much fun!
Day 132: Happy Birthday to Ryan! Monday was Ryan’s birthday. We celebrated during the weekend.
Day 133: Mother-Son Date in downtown after school! We had popcorn on a little bench. I had to do my grocery shopping when I picked him up, so I wanted him happy! It was kind of chilly on this day.
MOTHER’S DAY & RYAN’S BIRTHDAY
Ryan’s birthday always falls close to Mother’s Day and he’s working the next two weekends so we had to celebrate this weekend, along with Mother’s Day. The pictures will be lame because I forgot to take many 🙂
Friday, my mom and dad watched B overnight, so Ryan and I could go on a date and sleep in! We went to dinner in Shops of Legacy at Village Burger and then a movie! We got home late and unfortunately, I had to complete a few orders before bed (I was swamped with orders for Mother’s Day). Bahaha…see we can’t take a selfie with a flash…Ryan can’t keep his eyes open.
Saturday, we celebrated with Ryan’s family and had lunch for Ryan’s birthday and Mother’s Day. Then we went to their house and had Ryan’s favorite, homemade ice cream cake. I should have taken a picture. My mother-in-law makes the best ice cream cake! I’ll have to share the recipe! We hung out there and then B fell asleep on me when we get home.
Sunday morning was Mother’ Day and I loved the pictures his preschool made for us.
B came up to me on Sunday morning as I was rushing to get ready and gave me my Mother’s Day gift…Starbucks! I LOVE it!
And a few more goodies! Ryan got me a DVR for Mother’s Day…I have been wanting this forever since we can’t really watch TV when it comes on. AT&T was running a great deal, so we jumped on it!
Then we went to church…B sits here while we finish up greeting sometimes.
Then to eat and play in the park!
Home for a nap and then we headed to my parents’ house for Mother’s Day and Ryan’s B-day! This was the only picture I got. B discovered a bike over there and wanted to “ride” it.
Monday was Ryan’s actual birthday, so I cleaned during B’s entire nap time (our house was a wreck from the weekend) and ran errands to get ready for when he got home. He came home at 4:00 which was a surprise and nice to see him early! Luckily, I had his presents out and the house was cleaned! I wanted him to come home to a calm, soothing house after a day’s work! It was rainy and overcast, which was actually nice!
Presents – Beckham got him some of his favorite popcorn! I got him some shirts, a bathing suit, sandals, and a book. My big present to him was an iPhone! If you know Ryan, you know this is HUGE! He’s had an old phone since I can remember. The screen is 1.5 inches and can’t even take pictures. He was shocked as I paid for this with some money I made with my business.
Ryan’s favorite meal…chicken fried steak!
Sharing his popcorn with his favorite little guy.
Blessed is the one word that comes to mind after this busy week/weekend!
