I told you guys I would update you on my progress as I could. So, here goes it… As you know I’m doing a 24 day challenge to lose weight (my goal – 8 pounds). Read here for first post.
I’m going to be honest with you guys! This second round of the challenge (did it two years ago) is MUCH tougher! And I think it’s because I’m a mom now! First of all, I have to cook, prep, and feed Beckham different food for the most part. Secondly, I don’t have time like before to hit the gym when I want. And thirdly, I’m surprisingly much more tired than when teaching. I NEVER thought I would ever say that, but for some reason I want to give up much quicker than before (yes, I know all you stay at home mommies are laughing at me right now). So needless to say, the last 6 days has been tough. The only thing keeping me going is the fact that this cost money to do and I’ve lost weight!
So here’s the breakdown of what I’ve been doing the last 6 days.
-Eating fruit for breakfast
-Lots of fish and veggies for dinners
-Fruit, rice cakes with natural PB, and water/Spark are my go to snacks!
-I’m supposed to eat a “lean protein, veggies, and a complex carb” at lunch, but it has been VERY hard to cook/prepare that with Beckham during this clingy stage he’s in. Often times, I eat beans with brown rice and a salad (just lettuce usually).
-Spark during the afternoon for a “flavored” drink…it’s really yummy. It’s a “energy/coffee” drink that’s much healthier.
-I definitely cheated two days when I had cookies and chili on different days. I don’t regret it though.
-Lots of supplements as well to aid in filling the gaps (Fiber drink, cleanse tablets, probiotics, muscle saving supplement, fish oil).
Results:
I’ve lost 5 pounds so far, but lost that pretty early. I’m sitting at 133 pounds. I worked out twice, which felt really good. Hopefully, I can continue that, but it’s a challenge to get to the gym with Beckham. I think the keys from here on out are boat loads of water, SLEEP, and being creative with recipes. Next phase (days 11-24) is the Max Phase. A little more freedom on food and different supplements!
Even though I think I look better in the pic on the left, you can see a little difference in the two pictures in my mid-section. Gotta love a tan! Tan really does make you look thinner! 🙂 |
A little difference in middle. This is where I needed to lose it most after baby! |
How I Feel:
To be honest, the amount of “strictness” I’m on now vs. before makes me a little depressed. I literally ate whatever, whenever before and pretty much stayed around 135 pounds. I’ve always been health conscious, but enjoyed food. I have basically been a tired, moody wife/mother the last 6 days, but majority of that has to be attributed to my lack of sleep also. I’m a night owl and am horrible about getting sleep! As I type this, I realize I’m being a bit of a baby, but I’m in a whining mood so… 🙂
I’ll update again soon! Thanks for the encouragement and nice words…wink wink! 🙂

I love it. Just something you might want to think about bc you can do it FOREVER and you dont have to eat beans everyday 🙂 But good luck in whatever you choose you are beautiful!!!
